Another Book of Shorts for Summer

‘The Death House: during the early days of rail in Australia, a one-room shack was built on or near railway property. It contained a desk and chair, and its walls were lined with long shelves.

If there was an accident on or near a railway station resulting in death, or if someone died on the station or track, the body or bodies would be placed in this shack to await later collection and autopsy. It was known as the Death House.

My ‘Death House’ consists of a collection of tales of the paranormal, all connected by the Death House, all to leave you wondering at the connection and how our lives can be affected in ways we little dreamed of.

This will come out on Smashwords shortly, for those of you who like a quick scare to read on the bus on the way home from work, in the loo, during lunch, or whatever.

Keep your eye out for it.

  1. Looks good to me! (although, since I’m usually the one who DRIVES the bus my passengers may not agree with me).

Hi-ho! I’m an ex-bussie too, from the ever-long traffic queues of Sydney town! I still say bus-driving is the best job I ever had (apart from the present, that is).
